From fire & earth

Iron Forest is based within the historic and spectacular Ironbridge Gorge world heritage site. The juxtaposition between the historic man-made industrial architecture of the Gorge and the encroaching, ethereal woodlands maintains an almost mystical quality and has become the inspiration for the forms that are created.

Handbuilt by Ironforest

Everything is hand-built to a high quality from a historic C17th workshop within the World heritage site. Each piece is its own artistic creation inspired by the shape and qualities of the individual piece of timber from which it is made.

Responsibly sourced

Every piece of wood is responsibly sourced, and the majority of timbers are aquired from local woodlands where trees are carefully managed. Reclaimed timbers are also used.

One-off creations

Each piece is a unique artwork that is purpose designed to suit the character of a particular piece of timber. As a result, no two projects are the same.

Built to last

Every piece is handbuilt with care to the highest standards. The combination of solid metal and hardwood timbers means that, with proper care, each piece should last a lifetime.

Helping our woodlands

A proportion of the profits made on every sale is donated to the Woodland Trust. The Trust plants thousands of new trees across the UK every year and helps to protect existing woodlands whilst ensuring free access to the public.
